မရေရာ။ Attributed to တီလီဂူ తెలంగాణ (telaṅgāṇa). Various folk etymologies, interpreting the name as a compound meaning "one trodden under foot, slave" or "father, [we] perish", contributed to the word being regarded as derogatory.
